University of the Aegean

The Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport was founded in 1998 and its inception is concordant with the original mission statement of the University of the Aegean, the economic character of the Aegean constituency and the strong naval tradition of the Chios island, Greece.
The Department' s curriculum combines subject areas such as business management and administration with shipping, transport and international trade, which are not only interconnected but also deeply embedded in the Greek tradition with added contemporary local, national and international dimensions. The transport industry is vital as it services the trade demands of the global market.
